Our Philosophy
Being outside is important for children in many ways. It’s where they can exercise big muscles and expend physical energy in a way that builds their bodies, confidence and spirit. The outdoors is a laboratory for children to learn about the environment. Like scientists, they observe and test the properties of water, sand and light and learn about birds, bugs and flowers. The natural world is a place of wonder, imagination and beauty for children. Our Whiz Kids have access to an expansive outdoor play space that balances safety and supervision with exploration and wonder. Our Teachers facilitate and create age-appropriate outdoor spaces, where children can squish in mud, jump in puddles, and play in the sun. They have time to turn over rocks to look for bugs beneath, to watch squirrels burying peanuts, and birds building their nests. This encourages children to become future stewards of the earth and learn about the natural world. This is a gift that will last your child for a lifetime.
